Job Description
The
Tax & Audit Associate is responsible for assisting in statutory audits, internal audits, and tax compliance work. The role involves the preparation and review of financial records, tax returns, audit documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Responsibilities
Assist in planning and execution of statutory, internal, and tax audits
Verify financial statements, ledger accounts, and supporting documents
Conduct audit testing and prepare audit working papers
Identify audit issues and assist in preparing audit reports
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Tax Responsibilities
Prepare and assist in filing direct and indirect tax returns (Income Tax, GST/VAT, etc.)
Compute tax liabilities and ensure timely payment of taxes
Assist in tax audits, assessments, and notices from tax authorities
Maintain tax records and documentation
Support tax planning and compliance activities
General Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting and financial records
Coordinate with clients and internal teams for data collection
Stay updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards
Assist seniors in advisory and compliance assignments
Qualification -
Inter CA -Dropout.
experience in the accounting, auditing, and taxation fields.
