Job Description
Responsibility for supporting the Indirect Tax team with global Indirect Tax compliance. The role will involve data extraction, data transformation, ensuring tax returns are submitted timely and accurately. Partnering with the AP and AR teams to ensure tax data point accuracy and adherence to tax relevant processes and controls. The ideal candidate will be a proficient user of Excel and ideally have experience with data manipulation tools such as Alteryx. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of tax, turning data into actionable insights and fostering a culture of continuous innovation
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
- Preparation of tax returns
- Partnering with AP shared services, provision of training and guidance as required
- Identify process improvements using data manipulation tools and AI
- Taxability classifications
- Exemption certificate management
- Ownership of tax‑critical data fields in ERP systems
Internal: Relationships with most functions within the business including F&A, Group Tax, Commercial, Shared Services, Supply Chain
External: Accountants, auditors, external advisors, client tax teams, other third-party providers
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Accounting, Finance or Tax related qualification
Knowledge Of
- The use of ERP/Accounting systems, preferably Oracle
- The use of data analysis tools
- Familiarisation of Indirect Taxes, preferable but not essential
Experiences
- Experience of data extraction and analysis
- Experience of filing Indirect Tax returns preferable
- Ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment
- Experience learning and growing from direct on the job coaching and mentoring
