Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tandoori Chef de Partie (CDP) at Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar. As a Tandoori CDP, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of authentic tandoori dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene. Additional responsibilities include managing kitchen operations for the tandoori section, supervising junior staff, ensuring inventory control, and adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. You will collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative recipes and maintain an efficient workflow in the kitchen.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Tandoori cooking techniques, including marinating, grilling, and clay oven operations
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices and ingredients used in tandoori cuisine
- Ability to manage kitchen operations, supervise staff, and ensure efficient preparation and service
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Creativity in developing new recipes and enhancing existing menus
- Relevant culinary certifications or training in Indian cuisine is preferred
- Experience working in a professional kitchen, particularly in preparing tandoori dishes
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
