Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tandoor Chef located in New Delhi. The Tandoor Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking tandoori dishes, ensuring the quality and authenticity of the cuisine. Daily tasks include managing tandoor ovens, marinating and seasoning ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen, and collaborating with the kitchen staff to create a consistent and high-quality dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Tandoor cooking techniques, including preparation of traditional Indian bread, kebabs, and tandoori dishes
  • Knowledge of marinades, seasoning, and spice blends specific to tandoori cuisine
  • Experience in handling tandoor equipment and maintaining safety standards
  • Ability to manage time effectively and oversee multiple cooking tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
  • Formal culinary training or certifications in Indian/Tandoor cuisine is preferred but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen specializing in tandoori cuisine is advantageous
