Purpose of the Job

Listen to audio recordings and create an accurate written version of them and proofread them in the Tamil language according to a prescribed manual.

Skills/Competencies required

A good typing speed and excellent reading skills. A high degree of professionalism and work ethic.

Sound knowledge of the Tamil language and the ability to reflect the same in the transcript.

Job Responsibilities

• Completing transcriptions promptly and reviewing drafts for any spelling, grammar, or formatting errors, as well as other inconsistencies.
• Adhering to all confidential guidelines and respecting sensitive information.
• Proofread and edit Tamil content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and readability
• Ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness
• Review translated Tamil content to ensure consistency with the source material
• Maintain consistency in terminology, style, and formatting
• Identify and correct typographical and formatting errors
• Follow established language guidelines and style guides
• Collaborate with translators, writers, and editors when required
• Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
