About you and this role

As a Talent Sourcer at Dow Mumbai, India, sourcing talent is your quality and specialty. Specifically, when it comes to hiring experienced professionals, you clearly have experience with profiles that do not come to blows, especially in the Chemical industry. You know how to brand Dow, approach prospects, and attract talent. You are supporting the Dow recruiters with direct sourcing activities, with posting vacancies on various job platforms and you are keen on proposing excellent candidate shortlists. Recruiter you regularly fill in profiles and support the entire hiring process. The entire process has your attention, from branding to selection.

  • Support The Talent Acquisition team with complex Sourcing queries by identifying the right sourcing tools and applying direct sourcing activities.
  • Maintain talent pools and advice in candidate shortlists.
  • Understanding the Hiring needs and translating those expectations in attractive job descriptions.
  • Act as key contact between Dow recruiters and prospects and applicants.
  • Provide information to Recruiters and hiring managers on the status of relevant applicants and other Talent Market observations.
  • Ensure flawless and timely communication with prospects and applicants.
  • Identify and drive Sourcing and Screening opportunities for (future) improvements.

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the first stage of the recruiting process. Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to understand the clients priorities. Translate their talent needs to effective sourcing strategies.Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks.

  • Identify qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques.
  • Promote our employer brand online and offline and maintain candidate databases.
  • Communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities.
  • Partner with recruiter posting and identifying sourcing channels.
  • Generate name list of prospects (passive candidates)
  • Initiate engagement and convert prospects into applicants.
  • Screen, qualify for both inbound/active candidates and passive candidates.
  • Present diverse candidates slate to recruiters.
  • The ability to accommodate a flexible schedule aligned with international time zones is essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Talent Sourcer or similar role at least for one year
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or relevant field
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (e.g., recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings)
  • Familiarity with HR Recruitment tools such asLinkedInandNaukriand Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills in English and effective time-management abilities
  • Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates.
  • Familiarity with HR Recruitment tools such asLinkedIn,IndeedandNaukriand Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs)
  • Skills & expertise in MSOffice
  • Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates.

Preferred skills

Familiarity with Workday and social media and/or other sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Workday, Monster & ATS are preferred.

India Engineering Center (IEC) was established in late 2006 in the city
of Chennai, in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. The center currently
houses approximately 450 Dow and non-Dow employees across various
functions and businesses. With 95% of these employees belonging to
Engineering Solutions, IEC is the largest Engineering Solutions site
outside of the US.

IEC provides a broad range of project and support based engineering
services including Design Engineering, Project Engineering and Project
Controls, Construction Management, Process Automation, Process
Engineering and Process Safety. The overall value engineering strategy is
based on the following four elements and supported by a strong Process
Automation and Process Engineering expertise. Various Engineering Hub
Services like P&ID, SP3D, Stress Calculations, GMISS, etc. are delivered
out of IEC to all global Dow sites. This strategy enables ES to expand
its resource pool to support growth regions and execute more projects
