Internshala, an upGrad Company
Internshala is India's largest early career talent platform with 34M+ registered students and 450,000+ employers. Acquired by upGrad (90% stake, Feb 2026), Internshala is expanding its B2B enterprise business across campus hiring, assessments, and employer branding for large Indian enterprises.
The B2B team works with companies across sectors including GCC, BFSI, FMCG, IT Services, and other sectors to help them hire, assess, and develop early career talent at scale.
About the role
We are looking for a Talent Intelligence Consultant to help our enterprise clients make better early career hiring decisions. You will work on how companies assess, benchmark, and evaluate fresher and campus talent — bringing structure, rigour, and analytics to a space that currently runs on intuition and ad-hoc processes.
This is a consulting-meets-product role. You will work directly with enterprise HR leaders to understand their hiring challenges, design structured solutions, and help translate those solutions into scalable platform capabilities. You will also support our sales team in structuring enterprise deals with an analytics and assessment lens.
What will you do
Assessment and evaluation design
- Work with our assessment design team to understand, apply, and continuously update competency frameworks for early career roles across sectors.
- Work with the product team to improve our assessment and AI interview capabilities — ensuring that what we measure is relevant, validated, and useful to enterprise HR teams.
- Design sector-specific evaluation approaches for priority verticals
Workforce analytics and reporting
- Build analytical frameworks that help enterprise clients understand and improve their early career hiring — applicant pool analysis, hiring funnel diagnostics, and structured evaluation of assessment results.
- Design reports and dashboards that enterprise HR teams can use in their internal reviews and board presentations.
- Over time, help improve reporting and analytics capabilities to support enterprise clients in making more informed early career hiring decisions.
Enterprise client engagement
- Support enterprise sales conversations with analytical depth — helping structure deals where the value proposition goes beyond sourcing volume.
- Deliver consulting-style engagements for large clients: structured assessments, evaluation reviews, and recommendations for their early career hiring programmes.
- Be the subject-matter expert in client meetings on assessment design, evaluation methodology, and hiring analytics.
Product collaboration
- Translate client needs and consulting insights into product requirements — what should the platform measure, how should results be presented, what reports should be automated.
- Help define quality standards and validation methodology for our assessment products.
Who are we looking for
Must have
- 7–10 years in HR consulting, talent advisory, workforce analytics, or assessment design. Ideal backgrounds: Deloitte Human Capital, EY People Advisory, KPMG HR Advisory, PwC Workforce, Mercer, Aon, Korn Ferry, or similar consulting firms.
- Experience working with CHROs, VP-HRs, and TA Heads as clients — you know how enterprise HR leaders think and what they need to present to their boards.
- Strong understanding of competency frameworks, assessment principles, and how large companies structure their hiring evaluation processes. Ability to work with and improve existing frameworks rather than necessarily building them from scratch.
- Analytical rigour — comfortable working with data, building benchmarks, and structuring findings. You don't need to write code, but you need to think in numbers and evidence.
- Ability to work across teams — equally comfortable with product managers (defining what to build) and enterprise clients (defining what to deliver).
- Clear, structured communication. Your work product will be client-facing reports, frameworks, and presentations.
Strong preference
- Experience with campus hiring or early career talent at scale — you understand fresher assessment, campus programmes, and the unique dynamics of hiring people with limited work history.
- Exposure to psychometric or assessment design — you understand what makes an evaluation valid and reliable.
- Sector depth in at least one of: GCC, BFSI, FMCG, IT Services.
- Experience working in an early-stage or scaling environment where processes and methodologies are still being established.
Compensation - Rs 10-12 LPA fixed
