The S3 HR and Management Line follows a User-Focused and Employee-Oriented philosophy and employs a three-pillar HR organization model. By offering productized services and marketized management, the S3 HR and Management Line provides comprehensive support for developing Tencent's organization, talent, and culture, enabling employees to grow with the company.

What The Role Entails

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end recruitment for a diverse portfolio of functions, including engineering/technical positions as well as corporate governance positions (Legal, Corporate Communications, Compliance) the APAC region.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and functional leaders to understand evolving business needs, define hiring requirements, and design targeted recruitment strategies for both technical and non-technical domains.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines across key hiring areas such as Software Engineering, SRE, Infrastructure, Backend, Product & Platform roles, as well as Legal Counsel, Regulatory/Compliance specialists, Corporate Communications professionals, and other Go-To-Market positions (e.g., Solution Architects, BD, Customer Success).
  • Develop customized sourcing strategies for niche and hard-to-fill positions, leveraging a wide range of channels including professional networks, legal and compliance associations, communications communities, academic institutions, technical platforms (GitHub, ArXiv, Kaggle), and relevant industry events.
  • Manage the full candidate lifecycle with a strong focus on candidate experience, serving as a brand ambassador for Tencent across global markets and ensuring a high-quality, consistent recruitment process.
  • Track, analyze, and report on hiring metrics to provide talent insights, market intelligence, and competitive benchmarks to stakeholders, enabling data-driven talent decisions.
  • Collaborate on employer branding initiatives tailored to both technical and corporate functions to strengthen Tencent's visibility and attractiveness across multiple talent markets.

Qualifications

Who We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources, Business, Computer Science, Law, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of recruitment experience, preferably covering a mix of technical hiring (engineering, cloud/SRE, product, GTM) and corporate hiring (legal, communications, compliance).
  • Demonstrated success supporting technical and corporate stakeholders in fast-paced, matrixed, and multi-regional environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and adapt to cross-functional and cross-cultural dynamics.
  • Ability to operate with agility, learn quickly, and manage complex or ambiguous requirements across multiple business groups.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese, with the ability to navigate communications between international teams and HQ stakeholders.
