Job Description
The Global Campus Recruitment Team is responsible for developing and driving Campus hiring strategies aligned to business priorities for American Express. These strategies include improving prospective and full-time student experiences while building a strong, early career talent pipeline in addition to collaborating with Colleague Experience Group and line of business colleagues to acquire and retain the best talent. This role also contributes to broader early careers initiative by leveraging diversified talent channels, including apprenticeship pathways, as part of integrated hiring approach.
Responsibilities
- Cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with targeted premier colleges/universities and driving end-to-end campus recruitment and selection processes.
- Crafting, managing, and delivering global campus programs such as internship, campus branding, and candidate experience etc. for the India market.
- Acting as a strategic talent advisor for multiple internal business partners, responsible for understanding and assisting those groups in attracting and building a Campus talent pipeline.
- Design & implement data driven campus hiring strategies aligned to business needs.
- Driving strategic campus recruitment priorities while ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality outcomes.
- Lead planning and execution of recruiting events – Virtual and In-person
- Analyzing the recruiting metrics and external market intelligence to generate actionable insights and build executive dashboards as strategic inputs to Business leaders.
- Strong market research, organization, accuracy, and presentation skills
- Build and lead a budget and calendar of hiring events and career fairs
- Ability to efficiently harness the recruitment marketing assets for branding needs
- Support integration of apprenticeship programs as an organic hiring channel to expand talent pipelines and align with evolving workforce priorities.
- Leading with an external perspective keeping growth mindset where exact role and responsibilities may be dynamically aligned to organizational priorities
- These tasks may not belong to pure play HR activities but hold key relevance to the overall operational success. This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
Qualifications
- Masters qualification from reputed institutes – preferably in full-time mode and in the field of HR / Organizational Behavior / Employee Relations / Career Management.
- Overall, 3 to 4 years of experience in recruitment management domain with min. 2 years of campus recruitment experience preferably in technology, handling relations with premier Business Schools and Engineering colleges in India. Ideal to have exposure to both Business School and Engineering School hiring across 2 seasons
- Experience in Hiring / Onboarding / Campus program initiatives within Global Capability Centers (GCC) would be a plus
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage strong relationships with academic institutions, placement cells, and internal stakeholders.
- Authentic proficiency in getting results, collaborating, and influencing others, critical thinking, etc.
- Good project management skills and ability to deliver on multiple tangled projects and tasks by prioritizing appropriately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret recruitment data, track key metrics, and derive actionable insights.
- Relationship Building Skills - Good internal and external relationship management skills across all levels of a large organization, including senior leadership
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to represent the organization effectively across campuses
- Excellent presentation, power point, and excel skills with high degree of ownership, collaboration, and attention to detail
