Position Overview

We are looking for a driven, people-oriented Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our HR team in Chennai for a 6 to 12-month contract period. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for a fresh graduate or someone with prior HR/recruitment internship experience to gain hands-on corporate recruiting exposure.

You will work closely with seasoned recruitment partners to manage the initial phases of the hiring lifecycle, learning how to leverage top sourcing platforms and modern Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to identify exceptional talent.

Role & Schedule Parameters

Position Type - Contract (6 - 12 Months)

Experience Level - Fresher OR 0–1 year of experience (Prior HR internship is a major plus)

Location- Chennai, India

Work Model - Hybrid (A balanced mix of in-office collaboration days and remote work days)

Key Responsibilities:

As a consultant, you will be deeply involved in supporting our daily recruitment operations. Your core focus areas will include:

  • Sourcing & Talent Mapping:Utilize job portals (Naukri, Indeed), LinkedIn, and social networks to identify and build pipelines of qualified candidates for active job roles.
  • Resume Screening: Review inbound applications against specified job descriptions to shortlist high-quality matching profiles.
  • Initial Screening: Conduct introductory phone interviews to assess candidates fundamental communication skills, availability, and alignment with basic role requirements.
  • Interview Coordination: Act as the primary bridge between candidates and our internal interviewing panels, managing schedules, sending calendar invites, and tracking feedback.
  • Database & ATS Management: Ensure accurate, real-time updates of candidate pipelines and details within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Candidate Experience: Serve as a welcoming, professional point of contact for candidates throughout their application journey, ensuring they receive timely updates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Background

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (BBA/MBA), Psychology, or a related field.

Core Hard Skills & Knowledge

  • Familiarity with the concepts of basic sourcing, Boolean search logic, or utilizing online job boards (gained via coursework or previous internships).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel for data tracking and Word for formatting resumes/JDs) or Google Workspace.
  • Basic understanding of how corporate recruiting structures function.

Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Strong Communication: Excellent spoken and written English skills are mandatory to engage candidates effectively. Fluency in regional languages (like Tamil) is an advantage for vendor and local candidate coordination.
  • Organizational Agility: Ability to juggle multiple scheduling tasks without losing track of details.
  • Willingness to Learn: A proactive mindset, comfortable asking questions and adapting swiftly to feedback in a fast-paced environment.
