Job Position Purpose / Summary

Position Summary

  • Owens & Minor is seeking an experienced and results-driven Talent Acquisition Consultant to manage end-to-end recruitment activities across our Global Capability Center (GCC) and business functions in India.
  • This role will be responsible for driving hiring outcomes through strategic sourcing, stakeholder partnership, candidate experience excellence and effective recruitment operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have 6–7 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a strong background in hiring for IT and business roles within a fast-paced environment.
  • The incumbent will work closely with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, candidates and external partners to attract and secure high-quality talent aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions, including requisition intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer management and onboarding support.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to understand business requirements and develop effective hiring strategies.
  • Drive recruitment for a broad range of positions, including niche and non-niche IT roles, as well as selected business function requirements.
  • Source candidates through multiple channels including LinkedIn, job portals, employee referrals, networking platforms and internal talent pools.
  • Conduct candidate screening and preliminary assessments to evaluate technical competencies, experience and cultural fit.
  • Facilitate and coordinate interview processes, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and timely feedback from stakeholders.
  • Lead compensation discussions and support offer negotiations within approved guidelines for designated employee levels.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines to support current and future workforce requirements.
  • Support recruitment campaigns, hiring drives and employer branding initiatives as required.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational hiring policies, employment regulations and recruitment best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations, IT and Administration teams to facilitate smooth onboarding and pre-joining activities.

Recruitment Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinate interviews across multiple stakeholders, teams and time zones while maintaining high standards of candidate experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the Applicant Tracking System (Workday).
  • Ensure completion of recruitment documentation, including interview evaluations, offer approvals and onboarding requirements.
  • Manage candidate engagement activities during the pre-joining phase to minimize offer dropouts and enhance joining ratios.
  • Partner with background verification vendors to ensure timely completion of pre-employment checks.
  • Monitor recruitment progress and proactively address potential bottlenecks in the hiring process.
  • Prepare and maintain recruitment dashboards and reports, leveraging data to provide insights on hiring effectiveness and trends.

Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills Required

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources will be an added advantage.
  • 6–7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably within Global Capability Centers (GCCs), shared services organizations, or multinational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment for IT and business roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing positions within defined timelines and quality expectations.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Hiring Experience

Experience in recruiting for one or more of the following skill areas will be advantageous:

  • Cloud Technologies, Data Engineering and Analytics, SAP, Snowflake, Power BI, DevOps, Full Stack Development, Palantir, Service Desk and Infrastructure Support, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of talent acquisition principles, sourcing methodologies and recruitment best practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment capabilities.
  • Sound understanding of compensation structures, market benchmarking and offer management processes.
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Workday.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, accountability and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and recruitment reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
