Role Overview -

We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Business Partner (TABP) to support business growth through a blend of recruitment excellence and strategic HR business partnering.

The ideal candidate should possess strong stakeholder management skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to align talent strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities -

A. Talent Acquisition -

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for critical and leadership hiring across business functions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and create hiring strategies.
  • Drive sourcing through multiple channels including referrals, job portals, social platforms, and talent mapping.
  • Ensure high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Manage offer negotiations, compensation benchmarking, and onboarding coordination.
  • Build talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics such as Time-to-Fill, Cost-per-Hire, Offer-to-Join Ratio, and Hiring Manager Satisfaction.
  • Partner with employer branding teams to strengthen upGrad's talent brand.

B. HR Business Partnering -

  • Act as a strategic HR advisor to business leaders and functional heads.
  • Drive workforce planning, organizational design, and manpower forecasting.
  • Partner with managers on employee engagement, retention, and performance management initiatives.
  • Support leadership in talent reviews, succession planning, and capability development.
  • Analyze people metrics and provide actionable insights to improve business performance.
  • Handle employee relations matters, grievance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive performance management cycles, calibration discussions, and talent interventions.
  • Support change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, processes, and employment regulations.
  • Collaborate with COEs (Compensation, L&D, HR Operations, Talent Management) to deliver seamless people solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile -

Education -

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related discipline preferred.

Experience -

  • 6–8 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partnering.
  • Experience in high-growth environments such as EdTech, SaaS, Internet, Technology, Consulting, or Consumer businesses.
  • Proven experience managing both recruitment and HRBP responsibilities.
  • Exposure to leadership hiring and stakeholder management at senior levels.
