Talend Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL jobs and data integration workflows using Talend Studio.
• Extract data from multiple sources including relational databases, flat files, XML, and APIs.
• Transform and cleanse data to meet business and quality standards.
• Load data into target systems such as data warehouses, data lakes, and reporting databases.
• Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Monitor ETL processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes or enhancements.
• Maintain documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and technical specifications.
• Ensure adherence to data governance and security policies.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience working as a Talend Developer or ETL Developer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Talend Open Studio or Talend Enterprise Edition.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
• Good understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Experience with handling different data formats like CSV, JSON, XML.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python) is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging in Talend.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Cloud Dataflow) alongside Talend.
• Understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark is advantageous.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality tools, and metadata management.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Talend certification is a plus.
