Job Overview
We are looking for an L1 Network Security / TAC Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Technical Assistance Center (TAC) / Technical Support. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network and security-related issues involving TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, SASE, Firewalls, VPN and Proxy technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1 technical support for networking and network security issues.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, routing and switching related issues.
- Monitor and troubleshoot firewall/NGFW connectivity and access-related issues.
- Troubleshoot SSL VPN and IPSec VPN connectivity problems.
- Support and troubleshoot proxy and secure web access issues.
- Work with SASE/SSE technologies and assist in resolving customer connectivity and security issues.
- Analyze logs and perform basic network troubleshooting using appropriate tools.
- Handle technical tickets, identify root causes and provide timely resolution.
- Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams when required.
- Maintain proper documentation of incidents, troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in TAC / Technical Support / Network Support.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking.
- Good knowledge of Routing and Switching.
- Hands-on experience with Firewalls / NGFW.
- Knowledge of SSL VPN and IPSec VPN.
- Experience with Proxy technologies.
- Understanding of SASE / SSE concepts.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following technologies/products is an advantage:
- Netskope
- Zscaler
- Palo Alto
- Fortinet
- Cisco
- Check Point
- Other SASE, SSE, firewall or proxy technologies
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should have:
2+ years TAC experience + Networking + Firewall + VPN + Proxy/SASE + Troubleshooting
Candidates with Network Security TAC, SASE/SSE support, Zscaler, Netskope or similar security platform experience will be preferred.
