Job Description
We are seeking a skilled
Tableau Engineer with strong expertise in
data visualization, dashboard development, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with
Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud, SQL, and data modeling, along with the ability to translate complex business requirements into insightful dashboards and analytical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for business and executive stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into meaningful data visualizations, KPIs, and analytics solutions.
- Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability.
- Develop and manage Tableau data sources, extracts, and data connections.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to ensure reliable and well-modeled datasets.
- Implement best practices for visualization design, storytelling, and dashboard layout.
- Manage Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud content, including workbooks, users, permissions, and data sources.
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies, performance issues, and refresh failures.
- Provide end-user support, dashboard enhancements, and training for business teams.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4+ years of experience working with Tableau.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
- Expertise in data visualization, dashboard development, and analytics reporting.
- Experience in data modeling and building analytical data models in Tableau.
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and validation.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience creating executive-level dashboards and operational reports.
- Knowledge of dashboard performance optimization techniques such as extracts, filters, and aggregations.
- Experience with Tableau Prep for data preparation and transformation.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in Agile or data-driven environments.
- Familiarity with data governance and BI best practices.
- Experience integrating Tableau with modern cloud data platforms.
