Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and support Tableau Server/Platform operations including installations, upgrades, patching, and configuration management.

Manage users, groups, roles, permissions, projects, and content access to ensure secure and compliant usage.

Monitor platform health, performance, background jobs, extracts, and schedules troubleshoot and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.

Perform routine maintenance activities such as backups/restores, log analysis, housekeeping, and capacity checks.

Support publishing workflows and content lifecycle management for workbooks, data sources, and extracts.

Implement governance practices including naming standards, project structure, and usage monitoring to improve adoption and consistency.

Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and network teams to ensure environment stability and secure connectivity.

Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles for repeatable support processes.

Additional Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in Tableau Administration and enterprise BI platform support.

Hands-on experience with Tableau Server administration including user management, permissions, projects, and scheduling.

Working knowledge of monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for Tableau Server components.

Experience with backup/restore processes and maintaining platform reliability and availability.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BTech/BE/BSc) or Master's degree (MTech/MCA/MSc) in a relevant field. Preferred Qualifications:

Strong experience with Tableau Server architecture, scaling considerations, and environment optimization for performance and concurrency.

Experience implementing governance frameworks, access controls, and content management best practices for large user bases.

Familiarity with integrating Tableau with enterprise authentication (e.g., SSO/LDAP/AD) and security standards.

Ability to analyze usage metrics and platform telemetry to recommend improvements in scheduling, extracts, and capacity planning.

Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Good to have skills: SQL, PowerShell, Linux, Active Directory, ITIL
