T4S Customization Specialist

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced T4S Customization Specialist with strong expertise in T4S development, Teamcenter (TC), and SAP integration. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of how Manufacturing Process Planner (MPP) data, including Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM) and Bill of Process (BOP), is transferred from Teamcenter to SAP through T4S.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding integration workflows, troubleshooting data transfer issues, performing root cause analysis, and optimizing data synchronization between Teamcenter and SAP. The role requires close collaboration with PLM Governance, Operations, and other technical stakeholders to ensure seamless and accurate data exchange.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead T4S development and customization activities, ensuring seamless integration between Teamcenter and SAP.
• Understand and manage the transfer of mBOM and BOP structures from Teamcenter to SAP within the Manufacturing Process Planner (MPP) environment.
• Analyze T4S interface processes, data mapping, transformation, and processing mechanisms between Teamcenter and SAP.
• Understand SAP architecture, relevant SAP transactions, and the handling of transferred data within SAP.
• Perform root cause analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting of failed, delayed, or incorrect data transfers.
• Identify opportunities to optimize integration workflows and implement preventive validation mechanisms to detect errors before data transfer completion.
• Ensure data consistency and synchronization between master systems and connected applications.
• Manage changes in Units of Measurement (UOM) and ensure corresponding updates are accurately reflected in SAP.
• Support T4S upgrades, customization, and related integration enhancements.
• Validate and troubleshoot mBOM and BOP data transfer scenarios, including discrepancies in quantities and data structures (e.g., 100% vs. 150%).
• Work closely with PLM Governance and Operations teams to resolve integration issues and improve overall system performance.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience in T4S development and customization.
• Very good understanding of Siemens Teamcenter, particularly Manufacturing Process Planner (MPP).
• Good knowledge of SAP architecture, data processing, and relevant SAP transactions.
• Strong understanding of Teamcenter-to-SAP integration workflows and interface mechanisms.
• Experience working with Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM) and Bill of Process (BOP).
• Knowledge of data mapping, transformation, synchronization, and validation between enterprise systems.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Understanding of Unit of Measurement (UOM) management and change handling across integrated systems.
• Experience supporting T4S upgrades and integration optimization.

Key Technical Areas:

The candidate should have a good understanding of the following areas:

• BOP Transfer Optimization: Identifying errors during or after BOP transfers and implementing pre-validation or pre-check mechanisms to detect potential issues before transfer completion.
• Master Data Synchronization: Ensuring information in connected systems remains consistent with the master system.
• UOM Change Management: Handling changes in Units of Measurement identified at later stages and ensuring accurate updates in SAP.
• T4S Upgrade: Understanding the impact of T4S upgrades on existing integrations, customizations, and data transfer processes.
• mBOM & BOP Data Handling: Managing and troubleshooting data transfer discrepancies between Teamcenter and SAP, including quantity and structure-related variations.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Professionals with hands-on experience in T4S customization and Teamcenter–SAP integration.
• Candidates with strong functional and technical knowledge of manufacturing data structures, particularly mBOM and BOP.
• Individuals capable of independently troubleshooting complex integration issues and driving technical improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
