Duties:
. Create technology roadmaps and have technical ownership on Unix platforms
. Work on projects related to Unix technologies
. Automate Linux and Unix related activities
. Present evidence and artifacts and generate SOP's for Infrastructure audits
. Capable of implementing industry standards for Unix environments
. Perform installation, customization and maintenance of the RHEL operating system and system software products in support of business processing requirements. Evaluates and integrates new operating system versions, drivers and hardware.
. Provide technical expertise for system transitions, migrations and consolidations.
. Test software updates and patches.
. Monitor and fine tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels in standalone and multi-tiered environments.
. Conduct system analysis, configuration management and develops improvements for system software performance, availability and reliability.
. Perform incident resolution, problem determination and root cause analysis in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
. Design, develop, recommend and implement new or revised system software, utilities and automated processes as necessary.
. Provide in-depth diagnosis for operating systems software/hardware failures and develops solutions.
. Ensure server data integrity by evaluating, implementing and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
. Implement appropriate levels of system security.
. Present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
. Forecast, models, and utilizes advanced analytical tools.
. Create new procedures and processes to drive desired results.
. Identify opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels.
. Anticipate and prevent potential problems.
. Independently develop solutions that are thorough, practical, and consistent with functional or customer objectives.
