Systems Engineer, Senior

Position Summary

As Systems Engineer for the LX Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and related technologies, you are responsible for maintaining development and test environments, preparing product builds, developing and maintaining tools, testing and delivering high-quality software. You will work within a multidisciplinary development team in close collaboration with other skilled software engineers, architects, business analysts and other Infor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance environments and internal tools on an ongoing basis.
• Troubleshoot and debug in the internal development environments.
• Produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements.
• Prepare program documentation for installation and administration of the product and tools.
• Ensure products conform to design or usability requirements.
• Continuously develop application knowledge in the product suite, technical environment, and technologies.
• Adhere to standards and keep abreast of tools and standard operating procedure updates.
• Document and maintain detailed procedures (work instructions).
• Cross training and mentoring staff.
• Open to taking on other projects and responsibilities, as necessary.
• Take initiative in the investigation and implementation of new techniques and tools to improve Infor software delivery and Development infrastructure.

Key Requirements/Experience

• Experienced IBM i engineer in RPGLE, CLLE, DB2 and SQL.
• Comfortable working in a multi-platform environment blending IBM i and Windows servers.
• Prior experience in an IT related role.
• Analytical, accurate, and result driven.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 7 years related experience with a Bachelor or Master technical degree, preferably Computer Science or other technical education.
• Working Hours- Should be flexible to support in US hours- Max 10PM/11PM IST

• Experience with build tools i. e. ,Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Windows command line, etc.
• Project Management or leadership skills.
• Prior experience with Java a plus.
