Job Summary:

If you are a Software Engineering professional who recently graduated or are early in your career and looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our India location, you will have the opportunity to apply and enhance your skills in a full-stack software development role supporting our manufacturing site with strong collaboration and support from our global team of developers. You will provide system support for production, troubleshoot manufacturing execution system and software issues, and contribute to automation projects, software change requests, qualifications, and improvements. This role provides a wide breadth of both code and database design and developmental opportunities in a fast-pace, dynamic Manufacturing environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work on full-stack software development using C#.Net and SQL

  • Support custom in-house Manufacturing Execution Software application and database

  • Translate business requirement into technical specification for software development

  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering teams to develop, setup and test software features to improve manufacturing efficiencies, quality, and automation

  • Collaborate with a global team of software engineers on projects, production support, and software maintenance activities

  • Develop and support software integrations with equipment, devices and systems

  • Develop and document software designs using Object-Oriented techniques

  • Manage source code using TFS Version Control and Azure DevOps

  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing production software issues

  • Share ideas and solutions for improvements and innovations for the supported software

  • Perform basic database administration on Windows OS and SQL servers

  • Work on digital transformation using data transformation and PowerBI

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering (BCA, MCA, BCS & MCS)
  • Experience in software development and a good understanding of object-oriented design and analysis regardless at school or work
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft development tools, the Windows operating system and Microsoft SQL
  • Proficient in English and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for both hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Familiar with Reporting tools such as PowerBI and SSRS
  • Able to think out of the box with strong desire to learn and a great teammate

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Working knowledge of C#, asp.net, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Office Suite or PowerBI

  • Familiarity with TFS Version Control and Azure DevOps
