This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Systems Analyst II in India.
This role sits at the intersection of clinical data science, advanced programming, and regulatory-grade analytics, supporting the generation of high-quality, submission-ready clinical trial datasets. You will work on complex patient and cardiac safety data, transforming raw clinical inputs into structured outputs aligned with global standards such as CDISC SDTM and ADaM. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including data managers, statisticians, and clinical experts across multiple regions. You will contribute directly to regulatory submissions by building reliable datasets, validation programs, and documentation used in drug development. Operating in a highly regulated and detail-driven environment, you will also participate in audits, quality checks, and process improvements. In addition, you will mentor junior analysts and help strengthen technical standards across programming teams.
Accountabilities
- Develop, maintain, and validate SAS programs for creation of SDTM and ADaM datasets in line with CDISC standards
- Generate submission-ready clinical datasets, including cardiac safety outputs and define.xml documentation
- Collaborate with data management, project management, and clinical teams to define and finalize data transfer and reporting specifications
- Perform advanced data processing, quality control checks, and ad-hoc programming on large clinical and real-world datasets
- Support SDLC activities including unit testing, code reviews, validation, and documentation of programming outputs
- Contribute to audits, data review processes, and regulatory compliance activities
- Support cross-functional initiatives, including MVP development and improvements in data methodologies
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to training, SOP development, and knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience as a SAS programmer in a pharmaceutical company or CRO
- Strong expertise in SAS/Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL programming
- Solid experience with CDISC SDTM standards, including SDTM domains and define documentation
- Understanding of pharmaceutical drug development and clinical trial data processes
- Experience working with large, complex healthcare or patient-level datasets
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in clinical data programming
- SAS Base Programming certification required; advanced SAS certification preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills in English and ability to collaborate across global teams
- Experience mentoring junior team members is a strong plus
