Your Role

Atlas Copco is on a continuous journey to strengthen data‑driven, standardised, and digitally enabled sourcing processes across its global operations.

As Systems & Process Engineer - Sourcing & Digital Enablement, you will play a key role in designing, optimising, and digitally enabling end‑to‑end sourcing processes, acting as a bridge between Sourcing, Global IT, and Data & Analytics teams.

Your focus will be on SAP‑centric sourcing processes, supported by GEMS, ACDC, robust master data governance, and advanced digital capabilities such as Power BI, Databricks, and Artificial Intelligence, enabling better decisions, transparency, and scalable sourcing operations.

You will work in a cross‑functional, international environment, supporting sourcing teams with robust systems, high‑quality data, and actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities

Sourcing Process & Systems Engineering

  • Analyse, document, and improve end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes, including supplier onboarding, RFQ/RFP, pricing, contracts, source lists, and PO lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain As-Is/To-Be process models, system flows, and data dependencies.
  • Act as a process subject matter expert for sourcing-related systems and digital initiatives.

SAP, GEMS and ACDC Platforms

  • Act as functional SME for SAP MM / SAP S/4HANA sourcing and procurement processes.
  • Support and optimise sourcing workflows in GEMS and ACDC, ensuring alignment with SAP and business processes.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for Global IT and solution partners.
  • Support UAT, deployments, rollouts, and hypercare for sourcing system enhancements.

Master Data Governance (MDG)

  • Support governance of sourcing master data, including supplier master, purchasing info records, pricing, and source lists.
  • Work with SAP MDG to ensure data quality, consistency, ownership, and approval workflows.
  • Define and monitor data quality rules for sourcing master and transactional data.
  • Support root cause analysis and remediation of data quality issues.

Data, Analytics and Reporting

  • Define and govern sourcing KPIs related to cost savings, supplier performance and risk, spend compliance, lead time, MOQ, and sourcing efficiency.
  • Enable data flows from SAP, GEMS, and ACDC into Databricks / Azure Data Lake in collaboration with Data Engineering teams.
  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards for sourcing and management reporting.
  • Ensure consistent definitions, transparency, and traceability of sourcing data.

Artificial Intelligence and Digital Enablement

  • Identify and support AI-driven sourcing use cases such as supplier risk prediction, price trend analysis, and spend classification.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics teams to operationalise AI solutions.
  • Drive automation and advanced analytics initiatives supporting sourcing excellence.

Stakeholder and Change Management

  • Act as a key interface between Sourcing, Global IT, Analytics, and external partners.
  • Support user adoption of sourcing systems, reports, and dashboards.
  • Develop user documentation, training materials, and support change management for sustainable adoption.
Your skills and experience

Experience & knowledge

  • Solid experience in sourcing or procurement processes within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong hands‑on knowledge of SAP MM / SAP S/4HANA Procurement.
  • Experience working with business systems, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Good understanding of data concepts, analytics, and reporting.

Digital & technical skills

  • Power BI (data modelling, dashboard development).
  • Exposure to Databricks or modern data platforms.
  • data integration concepts, Basic understanding of SQL

Ways of working

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience translating business needs into system and data requirements.
  • Comfortable working in cross‑functional and multicultural environments.
  • Structured, fact‑based, and quality‑oriented working style.
  • Familiar with Agile or project‑based ways of working.

Education

  • University degree in Engineering ( Information Technology, or equivalent experience )
  • 3 + years of experience
