System Test Engineer

Area of Responsibility

Engineers will be responsible for the following activities:

• Review requirements and test item documentation

• Author automated test cases in accordance with JLR processes

• Implement and leverage test automation

• Execute functional safety tests

• Document and report test results

• Identify and raise product defects

• Prepare a project closure plan detailing completed test reports, asset documentation, and testing methods

• Create a handover plan for any outstanding work at contract end.

Knowledge / Experience

The engineers will support both the onsite team and the broader functional safety system engineering group. Key expectations include:

• Participation in all required team meetings

• Documentation of completed work activities

• Prompt escalation of impediments to the team

• ISO26262 functional safety processes

• High proficiency in CAN or XCP protocols

• Experienced in using and testing on HIL environment (not required to build or change)

• High proficiency Behaviour Driven Development BDD and Gherkin must have

• Experience in automated test implementation with precise timing measurements.
