Job Description
Competent engineer with technical product knowledge and extensive experience on planning and performing Quality management activities for System scope as defined in the organizational Quality strategy.
By providing added value to the development teams as opposed to functioning in a quality police mindset.
Monitors, reports and supports the conformity with applicable automotive Quality standards, agreed customer quality requirements, internal Quality policies, practices and procedures.
Participate actively in the lessons learned and process improvement activities.
Internal and external interface (Customer, Suppliers) for System Quality matters, in coordination with Project Quality Lead.
Responsibilities
Manage the quality in project for System Scope
Define System Quality Targets of the project. Plan System QA activities in collaboration with the System PTM and Project Quality Lead to reach the Quality targets of the project. Monitor the progress of Quality activities.
Perform the System Milestone Quality Audits (CheckPoints)
Identify Quality deviations and risks. Monitors that System project risks are properly assessed and managed. Track issues until closure. Escalate roadblocks to PL/ PG/ Mtier management.
Manage Project Improvement Plans for ensuring the resolution of quality non-conformities.
Assess, support and report the conformity with System development processes and applicable standards
Approve process tailoring vs. Valeo Process within the scope of System activities.
Perform internal project assessments/audits (SYS scope). Support GAMA and OEM assessments preparation and execution.
Provide support, coaching and training to all System project team members on the Quality Assurance process.
Evaluate System Quality indicators and GGRs (Group Golden Rules) related to System development.
Report Project System Quality status
Focus on Product Quality
Participate to Design Reviews (DR) / Technical Reviews (TR) as defined in Valeo Review Process.
Supplier management activities
Define System Quality requirements for suppliers and sub-contractors.
Perform external supplier audits (focus on System processes and deliverables)
Participate in acceptance reviews and approve Suppliers deliveries.
Approval of the deliveries
Conduct System Release Readiness Audits. In case of deviations, ensure deviation management rules are respected.
Approve System deliveries.
Ensure application of QRQC rules in System scope # Participate in the Project QRQC.
Ensure that all System issues and risks are reported in the QRQC red box resp SLI/R.
Support System team for problem solving according to QRQC (PDCA-FTA, LLC).
Identify Lessons Learned and Best Practices and share them with the Process Improvement organization.
Authorities
Report deviations from Quality Goals and escalate critical issues independently (according to Quality organization chart and escalation process)
Control the workflow for quality Non Conformances related to gaps detected in project/release Audits and reviews
