As a Manufacturing Engineer, you are responsible for developing and maintaining methods, operating sequences, and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. You'll work closely with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and new products, and you'll use engineering principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs, improve product quality, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements. Your expertise in lean principles, automation, and continuous improvement will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving higher levels of productivity and cost-effectiveness. You'll develop and use test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies to identify root cause issues and solutions that ensure operational success.

Integration Engineer

We are looking for a highly talented integration engineer to join our team and integrate complex multi-disciplinary systems.

Our Group:

The team is responsible for system integration of all Applied Materials - Metrology and Inspection tools before shipment to the customer.

In addition, we lead R&D prototypes and new products in the organization , with large exposure to the most advanced technologies such as precise mechanics, electronics, motion and optics.

What you'll be doing:

The system integration engineer gets a fully assembled tool. His job is to calibrate and test a multi-disciplinary system, in clean room environment, from start to end until shipment to the customer including complicated troubleshooting, investigation and engineering solutions proposal.

Since we are taking about a multi-disciplinary system involving several modules and disciplines, such as E-Beam (Electron-beam Microscopy), high-end optics, lasers, precise mechanics, RF, motion and control etc., the essence of our work requires high system understanding ,deep engineering knowledge and high accountability level.

Role & responsibilities :-

1. Responsible for technical support in order to meet the system's specification & team KPIs: on time delivery, Operational aspects of the tool's integration process, Lab Tool fleet performance
2. Performs highly complex operational and functional tests, calibrations, verification of sub-assemblies and/or systems
3. Troubleshoots modules and fully integrates systems. Performs in-house customer acceptance tests.
4. Travels to Applied Materials - PDC Israel site to install and support tools.
5. Follow and complete documentation procedures and forms of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Pursue and develop procedural, safety and process improvements. Identify problems and resolve problems as an individual or as a team.
6. Working 5 days/week from Bangalore Office (Friday and Saturday a must).

7. Early morning shifts 6AM - 3 PM.

What you should have

  • B.Tech Electrical Engineer
  • 2-4 years of relevant technical experience: System integration experience or other high complexity technical background - Advantage
  • 10 - 30% travelling

  • High level of independent work with constant drive for improvement

This is a physically demanding position that often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
