System Engineer

System Engineer responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing IT systems and infrastructure to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing technology operations. Role focuses on system configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and infrastructure support across enterprise environments.

This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving capability, and the ability to manage system reliability in fast-paced operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and infrastructure components
• Monitor system performance, availability, and operational stability across environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system-related issues
• Support system upgrades, deployments, and maintenance activities
• Manage user access, permissions, and security configurations
• Maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Collaborate with network, security, and engineering teams on infrastructure initiatives
• Ensure adherence to system security standards and operational procedures
• Maintain technical documentation for systems, configurations, and support activities
• Support automation and optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in system engineering, infrastructure support, or IT operations roles

Preferred Background

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms
• Experience with virtualization tools such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Exposure to scripting or automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python
• Certifications such as RHCE, MCSE, CompTIA Server+, or equivalent are an advantage
