System Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows/Linux) and related infrastructure.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Ensure high availability of critical systems and applications.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across platforms.
• Perform system backups, patch management, and disaster recovery operations.
• Maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams for system upgrades or new deployments.
• Apply security best practices to safeguard data and system access.
• Support virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms if applicable.
• Automate system tasks using scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Proven experience with system administration, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support.
• Good understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
• Experience with backup/recovery tools, system monitoring, and antivirus solutions.
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
