About the Project:
This Government-funded project focuses on developing advanced drone and allied technologies. It involves setting up and managing research labs, technical workspaces, and infrastructure to support project activities, testing, and training programs. The role involves setting up and managing state-of-the-art drone research labs, testing facilities, and technical workspaces, along with supporting training and ecosystem development activities.
Qualification & Experience:
PhD OR
MTech / ME or equivalent degree with relevant experience OR
BTech / BE or equivalent degree with relevant experience
Skills & Expertise:
- Experience in software architecture or full-stack system development
- Frontend: React.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS
- Backend: Node.js or FastAPI
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Real-time communication: WebSockets, MQTT, WebRTC
- Cloud platforms: AWS or GCP
- DevOps tools: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of networking, telemetry systems, and real-time data processing
- Knowledge of video streaming, IoT systems, or edge computing
- Security concepts such as authentication, authorization, and encryption
- Strong understanding of AI/ML applications in autonomous drones (navigation, obstacle avoidance, swarm systems)
- Ability to drive innovation, patents, and technical documentation
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design, development, and deployment of UAV/drone systems
- Define system architecture including airframe, avionics, propulsion, and payload integration
- Drive R&D initiatives for next-generation drone technologies and autonomous systems
- Oversee flight testing, validation, and certification processes
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and safety standards
- Manage large-scale drone projects, including budgeting, timelines, and stakeholder coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electronics, software, AI/ML, and mechanical design
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering innovation and technical excellence
- Engage with clients, government bodies, and external stakeholders for project execution and partnerships
- Develop strategies for product scalability, commercialization, and operational efficiency
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across project lifecycles
- Drive continuous improvement in design, performance, and cost optimization
