Key Responsibilities:
The Collections System Analyst will play a key role in Collections migration and system replacement initiative. The role will serve as the main System Analyst for the legacy Collections platform and will be responsible for delivering the legacy-side system solution, including analysis, solution design, interface impact assessment, migration data extraction, conversion support, reconciliation design, and SDM documentation.

The role requires strong understanding of Collections processes, batch and online interfaces, legacy system behavior, migration, data conversion, reconciliation, and system dependencies across banking applications. Exposure to application landscape, internal processes, cross-system interfaces, and SDM documentation standards is preferred.

Legacy Collections System Analysis & Solution Delivery

  • Act as the main System Analyst for the legacy Collections platform during the migration and system replacement initiative.
  • Analyse legacy Collections system behavior, business rules, workflows, interfaces, data flows, dependencies, and exception scenarios.
  • Analyse and design legacy system changes required to support migration, conversion, reconciliation, testing, and implementation readiness.
  • Support detailed data mapping from the legacy platform to the new Collections platform.
  • Work with business users, operations, technology teams, and application teams to clarify current system behavior, operational impacts, and solution approach.
  • Provide legacy platform input for interface analysis, conversion rules, reconciliation approach, testing scope, and cutover readiness.

Vendor Solution & Deliverable Validation

  • Review and validate vendor deliverables related to the new Collections platform, including system analysis, solution design, interface design, migration, reconciliation, and unit testing documentation.
  • Validate the vendor's proposed solution against legacy system behavior, approved requirements, data mapping, interface dependencies, reconciliation expectations, standards, and SDM documentation requirements.
  • Identify and challenge gaps, assumptions, inconsistencies, or missing details in vendor documentation and proposed solutions.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables properly address legacy-to-new platform mapping, data dependencies, interface impacts, conversion rules, reconciliation requirements, and exception scenarios.
  • Work closely with the vendor system analyst to clarify requirements, resolve solution gaps, and align legacy and new platform design.
  • Track review comments, open items, decisions, assumptions, and follow-ups with the vendor and internal stakeholders.

Interface Analysis & Coordination

  • Analyse and deliver interface-related requirements for both batch and online interfaces, with focus on legacy system behavior and migration impact.
  • Work with upstream and downstream application teams to understand interface touchpoints, data flows, processing timelines, dependencies, and exception handling.
  • Review interface specifications, file layouts, message formats, data mapping, transformation rules, and reconciliation requirements.
  • Coordinate with application teams to confirm interface behavior, data dependencies, processing rules, system impacts, and required changes.
  • Identify, track, and support resolution of interface-related risks, issues, gaps, and dependencies.

Migration, Conversion & Reconciliation

  • Deliver system analysis and solution support for legacy platform migration, data conversion, and reconciliation.
  • Define or validate source-to-target mapping, conversion logic, migration rules, reconciliation approach, data validation requirements, and exception handling.
  • Review vendor documentation covering migration rules, conversion logic, reconciliation approach, and data validation requirements.
  • Support analysis of migration and reconciliation defects, including data gaps, mismatches, and processing discrepancies.
  • Maintain documentation of migration-related decisions, assumptions, dependencies, risks, issues, and open items.

SDM Documentation

  • Prepare, review, and maintain SDM documentation within the System Analyst scope.
  • Complete required SDM deliverables for the legacy Collections platform and related migration activities.
  • Support documentation for system analysis, solution design, interface specifications, process flows, traceability, conversion, reconciliation, and testing.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, traceable, and aligned with business requirements, legacy system behavior, new platform expectations, and governance requirements.
  • Maintain proper records of decisions, assumptions, dependencies, review comments, issues, and resolutions.

Testing & Readiness Support

  • Support system integration, user acceptance, regression, conversion, reconciliation, and interface testing from a System Analyst perspective.
  • Assist in defining and reviewing test scenarios and expected results covering legacy system behavior, Collections processes, interface flows, migration outcomes, data dependencies, and reconciliation logic.
  • Review test results and support defect analysis, particularly for interface, migration, conversion, reconciliation, and system behavior issues.
  • Coordinate with business users, testers, vendors, and application teams to clarify defects and support timely resolution.
  • Support implementation readiness, production support handover, post-implementation support, and defects/incidents triage.

Requirements:

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience as a System Analyst (or a combination of SA and development lead) within banking or financial services.
  • Strong experience with banking systems, Collections systems, or Collections-related interfaces.
  • Experience delivering system solutions for legacy platforms, including analysis of system behavior, interfaces, data flows, dependencies, operational processes, and required system changes.
  • Experience supporting system implementation, migration, replacement, or transformation initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience analysing detailed designs for batch and online interfaces across multiple application systems.
  • Experience with interface flows, file processing, online transactions, data mapping, transformation rules, exception handling, conversion, and reconciliation.
  • Experience preparing or reviewing system analysis documentation, solution design documentation, interface documentation, process flows, migration documentation, reconciliation documentation, traceability documents, and SDM deliverables.
  • Experience reviewing and validating vendor deliverables and proposed solutions.
  • Experience working with vendor system analysts, business users, technology teams, operations teams, application owners, and application support teams.
  • Exposure to interfaces across different application systems within is preferred.
  • Familiarity with internal processes and SDM documentation requirements is preferred.

Skills Required

  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
  • Comfortable working in transformation or system replacement programs within a regulated banking environment.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience supporting a big bank's re-platform or migration experience.
  • Experience working with internal application systems and cross-system interfaces.
  • Familiarity with SDM documentation, approval processes, and project/change governance standards.
  • Experience reviewing vendor system analysis, solution design, interface, migration, reconciliation, or testing deliverables.
  • Experience supporting interface testing, data validation, reconciliation, production issue analysis, or post-implementation support.

Education:

. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.

. have at least a minimum of 8+ years of System Analysis work and equivalent Cards Functional Domain experience, cards payment networks, preferably with at least 8+ years of working experiences in Cardlink/Vision Plus
