We are looking for senior System Admin profile for our organization i.e. ITC Infotech.

Position : System Administrator

Experience : Minimum 15 years to 20 years

Location : Nepal (base location in India will be Kolkata)

CTC : As per industry standard

Job Description :

1. Windows administration

Install physical servers with knowledge of RAID concepts and various server hardware models.

Rack mount different makes and models of server hardware.

Configure ILO/IDRAC for server management.

Perform L2 level troubleshooting for Windows operating systems and analyze root causes of OS issues.

Manage over 100 servers and possess knowledge of Windows server clustering.

Conduct first-level analysis of hardware issues and coordinate with vendors for hardware/OS problems.

Have hands-on experience in performance monitoring and tuning of Windows Servers, along with OS hardening and patching.

2. VMware Infrastructure administrations

VM installation

VMware Distributed Switch

VMware Cluster Management

Deploy from template

P2V migration

Knowledge on VMware Resource Pool, VM clone & snapshot

VMware Resource Management

3. Backup Application (Commvault / EMC Networker) and Disk based backup appliance (EMC Data Domain / HP Store Once) / Tape Library / Virtual Tape Library administration

Install and configure backup applications, including Data Domain administration.

Implement and administer Networker module-based backups for SAP, Messaging, Oracle, SQL, etc.

Manage pre and post scripts for Networker and proxy-based backups of VMs on ESXi and Xen hypervisors.

Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills for Data Domain and Networker application issues.

Configure Data Domain replication and DDboost devices over FC, IP, CIFS, NFS, and VTL.

Monitor and tune performance of various Data Domain and Networker parameters.

4. Storage Area Network and Operating System

Knowledge on OS platforms like Linux, Windows

Understanding on VG, LV, FS

Knowledge and working exposure on basic of SAN storage Management.

Shell scripting

Storage based Snapshot (BCV, Clones)

Working knowledge on opensource technologies

Knowledge on relevant upcoming technology

5. Linux server administration

Linux server installation

LVM creation

File system management

User management

Providing sudo access

Performance monitoring

Trouble shooting boot issues

Linux Server Operating System Patching and Hardening

6. Network Administration

Managing DC network infrastructure (on-prem Kathmandu)

Managing DR network infrastructure (offshore TCL, Bangalore)

Managing LAN & WAN infrastructure for Factories & Godown locations

Monitoring of all network devices

Ensure proper Patch management for all network devices

Review of daily/monthly/quarterly reports

Managing Vendors for device support & links

Managing procurement & license/AMC renewal
