System Administrator

Education: BSc / MSc/BE/BTech in IT

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize Laptop, Workstations, Servers, Storage and Networks
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Server administration: This includes configuring and maintaining servers, operating systems, and hypervisors.
• Monitoring network performance and identifying and resolving issues.
• Backing up and restoring data.
• Ensuring systems are secure and protected against cyber threats.
• Providing technical support to users.
• Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines.
• Develop technical documentation and manuals
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripts
• Identify process gaps and prepare improvement plan
• Ensuring ITSM process are followed

Must Have

• Proven working experience as an IT Administrator, System Administrator or relevant experience
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook SharePoint
• Thorough understanding of networking concepts like DNS, DHCP, Active Directory VLAN
• Knowledge of Windows Server Administration
• Knowledge of HP Secure print solution will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of HR systems like time and attendance, payroll, leave management hosted in cloud or vendor premises or on prem will be an added advantage.
• Good to have knowledge of file transfer tools like File Catalyst
• Good to have knowledge of license management tools for engineering applications like Catia, MATLAB, ANSYS etc.
• Good to have knowledge of IT project management
• Good Communication skills
• Excellent team player with positive attitude and desire to learn and develop new skills
• Engineering or equivalent Degree in Computer Science, IT or relevant field.
