Job Description

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & DevOps

  • Administer and optimize Linux-based systems in production environments.
  • Manage KVM base virtualization infrastructure.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or/and CloudFormation.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar platforms.
  • Provide partial support for containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline integration and deployment workflows.
  • Oversee and optimise performance across KVM-based infrastructure as well as cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure.

SRE Responsibilities

  • Define and track SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to maintain system reliability.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and Nagios.
  • Lead incident response and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Drive automation to reduce manual operations and improve system resilience.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to manage system alerts and ensure uptime.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration and DevOps roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux system administration.
  • Skilled in Python and Bash scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible and KVM.
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of Python frameworks such as Flask and Django.
  • Experience with networking tools (Wireshark, NMAP, TCPDump).
  • Worked with log management systems (ELK, Fluentd).
  • Understanding of performance testing and chaos engineering.
  • Exposure to virtualization tools: libvirt, VMware, Hyper-V, Oracle VirtualBox, Vagrant.

Preferred Qualifications (optional)

  • Experience with performance, scalability, chaos, or failover testing in distributed systems.
  • Certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and container security.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and tools such as Jira or Trello.
  • Familiarity with Google SRE principles and best practices
