Job Title: L2 System and Azure Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
L2 System and Azure Administrator responsible for managing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Windows Servers, VMware environments, and virtual desktop platforms. The candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting vulnerabilities, managing hybrid environments, and supporting data center operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Microsoft Azure Administration
- Manage and monitor Azure resources (VMs, Storage, Networking, NSGs, Azure AD).
- Deploy and configure Azure Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux).
- Implement and manage Azure Backup and Site Recovery.
- Monitor Azure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
- Manage RBAC roles, policies, and subscriptions.
- Perform patching and security hardening of Azure VMs.
- Troubleshoot Azure networking (VNet, Subnet, VPN, ExpressRoute basics).
- Windows Server Administration
- Install, configure, and upgrade Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs.
- Perform OS hardening and patch management.
- Troubleshoot system performance, event logs, services issues.
- Handle vulnerability remediation based on security scans (Qualys, Nessus, etc.).
- Perform backup and restore operations.
- Vulnerability & Security Management
- Analyze vulnerability reports and remediate issues.
- Perform Windows security baseline implementation.
- Manage antivirus and endpoint protection.
- Apply security patches and ensure compliance.
- Knowledge of CIS benchmarks and Microsoft security best practices.
- VMware Administration
- Manage VMware vSphere environments.
- Create and manage VMs in vCenter.
- Perform VM provisioning, cloning, snapshots.
- Monitor ESXi host performance.
- Basic troubleshooting of VMware infrastructure issues.
Experience With:
- VMware vSphere
- VMware ESXi
- VMware vCenter Server
- VMware Horizon (VDI)
- Administer and support VDI environment.
- Create and manage desktop pools.
- Troubleshoot user login and connection issues.
- Monitor Horizon infrastructure.
Experience With:
- VMware Horizon
- Data Center Operations (Basic Exposure)
- Rack & stack servers.
- Basic network patching.
- Coordinate with DC team for hardware issues.
- Monitor physical server health.
- Handle remote hands support.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 36 years of experience in Azure and Windows Administration.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Good knowledge of virtualization and VDI.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall basics).
- Exposure to hybrid environments (Azure + On-Prem).
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- ITIL Foundation
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to handle incidents and service requests (ITSM tools like ServiceNow).
