L2 Admin Engineer – Server, Storage, Virtualisation & Infra Support

Role Overview:

Provide 2nd-level support &  administration for servers, storage, Virtualisation platforms, and Windows/ Linux environments. In addition to technical ownership, the role involves managing outsourced services, coordinating project execution, and ensuring smooth infra operations across North, South, and West regions.

Key Responsibilities:

×       Administer and troubleshoot Windows & Linux servers.

×       Manage and monitor virtualisation platforms (VMware/Hyper-V/KVM).

×       Support and optimise storage systems (SAN/NAS/Backup).

×       Coordinate with outsourced vendors to ensure SLA adherence and service quality.

×       Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for escalated issues.

×       Plan and execute infrastructure changes, patching, migrations, and upgrades.

×       Provide L2 escalation support for incidents raised by L1 teams.

×       Maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base for infra services.

×       Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for project rollouts.

×       Ensure compliance with IT security, audit, and business continuity standards.

Skills Required:

×       Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows Server & Linux (RHEL/SUSE/Ubuntu).

×       Good experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualisation platforms.

×       Practical exposure to storage & backup solutions (EMC, NetApp, HPE, Commvault, Veeam, etc.).

×       Familiar with cloud basics (AWS/Azure) – an added advantage.

×       Strong troubleshooting, RCA, and infra monitoring skills.

×       Vendor management and coordination abilities.

×       Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).
