Job Summary:

The Associate Systems Administratorwill assist in maintaining and supporting Cubic's customers test and production systems on the Windows platform utilized by millions of travelers around the world daily.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining an estate of Windows servers running mission critical server roles and customer applications.
• Systems Administration of Microsoft Windows (2003, 2008, 2012, 2016), implementation, maintenance, documentation and troubleshooting.
• Ensuring all servers are kept up to date with the latest security patches, deployed and updated via WSUS or equivalent third-party software.
• Work with Systems Administrators to provide 2nd line support to incidents
• Support project deployments and incidents with out of hours working as required.
• Ensure system changes have appropriate check and balances in place to minimize the risk of service disruption.
• Work from other Cubic or customer sites as required.
• Comply with Cubic's values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. Comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them.
• Required to work in a 24x7 shift rotation

Minimum Job Requirements:

Essential

• Degree, or equivalent experience, in a technical or technical management discipline
• 3 - 5 years experience
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Services
• Exposure with Active Directory Infrastructure (including DNS / DHCP / DFS / WSUS)
• Exposure with Group Policy management
• Exposure with Patch management
• Exposure with MS Windows Server Administration
• Exposure with Change and Incident Management.
• Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work both autonomously when required and productively within a cross-functional team environment
• Diligent, with attention to detail. Able to problem solve and find effective and timely resolutions
• Organized with the ability to handle multiple projects and undertake new tasks quickly

Desirable

• VMWare Administration experience
• VMWare 5/6 (Vsphere)
• Exposure with Citrix Xenapp
• Exposure with Powershell, vb.net, c#.net or windows batch scripting
