Sybase Database Administrator

We are looking for a seasoned and highly skilled Senior Sybase DBA to join our L3 Level team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Sybase ASE administration and a proven track record of successfully managing complex database environments. As an L3 Sybase DBA, you will be responsible for providing advanced support, resolving escalated issues, and driving performance improvements across our Sybase database infrastructure.

• Act as a subject matter expert for complex database issues, providing in-depth analysis and resolution.
• Investigate and resolve escalated incidents, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Lead efforts to optimize database performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
• Develop and implement automation scripts for routine tasks and monitoring.
• Streamline and automate database maintenance processes to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Sybase Database Administrator.
• In-depth expertise in Sybase ASE administration, including HA/DR, security, and performance tuning.
• Strong scripting skills (eg, Shell, Python) for automation.
• Experience with advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Sybase certifications at an advanced level (eg, Sybase Certified Master) is a plus.

Note: The Senior Sybase DBA at L3 Level is expected to be highly proficient in handling complex issues, providing strategic input, and contributing to the overall improvement of the Sybase database environment.
