We are partnering exclusively with a leading global investment bank on a confidential search for an experienced Senior Vice President / Vice President - AEJ Trade Repository Reporting to join its Operations team in Singapore.
This is a high-profile regulatory reporting role with responsibility for overseeing OTC derivatives Trade Repository (TR) reporting across multiple Asia-Pacific jurisdictions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing controls, driving reporting accuracy, and supporting ongoing regulatory change initiatives.
Trade Repository Reporting
Manage the end-to-end OTC derivatives Trade Repository reporting process across multiple AEJ jurisdictions, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and South Korea.
Ensure reportable transactions are submitted accurately and within regulatory timelines.
Monitor, investigate and resolve reporting exceptions, breaks and rejections through robust controls and escalation processes.
Maintain and enhance daily control frameworks, reconciliations, completeness checks and data quality validations.
Track regulatory developments and lead implementation of reporting rule changes and industry initiatives.
Regulatory Change & Data Management
Assess and implement regulatory reporting enhancements and post-rewrite requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel reporting exercises and implementation activities.
Maintain comprehensive reporting documentation, data mapping and reporting logic.
Controls & Governance
Strengthen and maintain the Trade Repository reporting control framework.
Produce management information and reporting for senior stakeholders and governance forums.
Support internal audits, external audits and regulatory reviews.
Ensure compliance with operational risk and control standards.
Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Front Office, Technology and Operations teams.
Work with technology teams on system enhancements, automation initiatives and issue remediation.
Liaise with regulators, trade repositories and industry participants where required.
Data Standards & Reporting Expertise
Apply knowledge of industry reporting standards including FpML and/or ISO 20022.
Ensure compliance with industry requirements relating to UTI, UPI, LEI and Critical Data Elements (CDE).
Drive data quality improvement and remediation initiatives.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years experience within financial services, with a strong background in regulatory reporting, post-trade operations or related functions.
Minimum 5 years direct experience in OTC derivatives Trade Repository reporting.
Strong hands-on knowledge of at least two of the following reporting regimes:
- MAS / HKMA / ASIC / KRX
Deep understanding of OTC derivatives products, including:
- Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) / Credit Derivatives (CDS) / FX Derivatives / Equity Derivatives / Commodity Derivatives
Experience managing reporting exceptions, reconciliations, controls and operational risk frameworks.
Working knowledge of FpML and/or ISO 20022 reporting standards.
Exposure to regulatory reporting rewrite programmes and industry reforms.
Experience with tools such as Alteryx or Power BI would be advantageous.
