Role Overview:
The Team Lead, Analytics Services is a leadership position responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team supporting JLL's Sustainability Consulting services. This role focuses on team development, delivery strategy and quality, and team stakeholder relationship management and growth. This position requires strategic thinking, operational excellence, and the ability to develop talent in matrix organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Engagement & Project Leadership:
- Provide day-to-day engagement management ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction across multiple complex initiatives
- Oversee project delivery with strategic guidance and senior client relationship management
- Manage multiple complex projects or single large-scale strategic initiatives with full financial accountability
- Build and manage strategic client relationships while consistently monitoring project profitability and risk mitigation
- Work with regional leadership to onboard new clients and support proposal development with compelling value propositions and strategic solutions
- Take ownership of setting timeline and steps to deliver on time for team, projects, and accounts in scope
- Hands-on involvement in scope expansions, delivery, and promotion of Sustainability Services
Team Leadership & People Development:
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of Sustainability experts
- Play active role in recruiting and workforce strategy through effective management and coaching
- Seek opportunities to transfer knowledge across the organization to help others learn and grow professionally
- Manage project delivery, task allocation, and workflow across the team
Operational & Process Excellence:
- Work with regional leadership to support team development and implementation of standardized processes and technology
- Oversee governance and quality activities to meet key performance outcomes
- Balance resourcing allocation and provide solutions for improved project delivery
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operational efficiency
- Regularly identify and implement ideas for improvement of products and services
- Support alignment of approaches across the team
- Advanced understanding of Scope of Work and the commitment needed to perform work for own level and other levels
- Ability to decipher MSA/SOW for scope on accounts and resources needed to accomplish deliverables within included timelines
- Understand the cost of resources needed against the revenue for delivering a scope of work and provide recommendations to address any financials related to delivery
- Deep understanding of resource requirements to deliver SOW with ability to provide recommendations on appropriateness of resource allocations
Client Advisory & Business Development:
- Serve as trusted advisor to clients while ensuring high satisfaction and long-term retention outcomes
- Ensure team provides consulting and technical advisory services to clients for sustainability and compliance reporting requirements
- Nurture strategic business partner relationships that lead to additional opportunities
- Partner with leadership on creation of new business proposals
- Identify strategic areas for new business development with clients and stakeholders
Business and Program Structure:
- Advanced understanding of how client accounts and business structures work
- Multiple examples of cross-functional team collaborations
- Provide support or lead implementation of proposed solutions
Communication & Stakeholder Management:
- Proficient writing and verbal communications with ability to avoid overcomplicating, especially in stakeholder-facing situations
- Able to independently and confidently communicate with stakeholders in situations of uncertainty and/or when further investigation is required
- Liaison with various levels of client and JLL management to refine efforts, present potential sustainability initiatives for implementation, and present results
- Understand and effectively communicate the why behind decisions
- Clearly and quickly explain critical or time-sensitive tasks that need to be done and when they need to be completed
- Provide guidance for others in team and throughout projects
Key Skills & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrable background in team management and people leadership with proven ability to coach and develop talent
- Strong project management experience with financial accountability for project delivery
- 7-10 years of professional work experience
- Experience in sustainability and/or compliance reporting, or consulting analytics
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced client-facing and communication skills with ability to build strategic relationships
- Lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task and manage priorities and deadlines effectively across multiple projects
- Responsible for playing a leadership role to effectively deliver services to clients and stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with real estate and building performance
- Technical experience in environmental reporting software and manipulating large datasets
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across different business functions
- Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision directives with operational execution
