We are seeking a research-oriented
ESG & Sustainability Intern to join our R&D team. This is a role designed for someone who can navigate complex environmental frameworks and translate them into functional technical prototypes and data models.You will be responsible for the research and development of an ESG solution, ensuring our data architecture is prepared for future global compliance mandates in the Fashion Industry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature reviews and benchmarking on ESG accounting methodologies (carbon, energy, and water footprinting).
- Develop Calculation Prototypes: Build and test logic-based engines to calculate environmental impact metricsCompare international standards and frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14040, EU sustainability directives) to validate modeling assumptions.
- Identify credible data sources, and activity datasets for environmental impact analysis.
- Data Architecture & Repository Building: Lead the long-term project of collecting, cleaning, and structuring a comprehensive ESG data repository
- Assist in validating model outputs and gathering feedback from internal teams or external partners..Document research findings, modeling logic, and recommendations for internal presentations and reports.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree (34 years) or equivalent degree required.
- Preference to sustainability courses
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- Strong desk research & reasoning skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in G-suits.
- Curiosity for climate/sustainability.
- Self-driven to learn and use new technologies for problem-solving.
