Job Overview

Spandana Hospital is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join its team in Bengaluru. This is a full-time, mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will provide expert care in gastroenterology, utilizing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while upholding the hospital's commitment to quality and patient-centered service.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven minimum 4 years and maximum 6 years experience as a practicing Gastroenterologist in a recognized healthcare setting.
  • Comprehensive expertise in endoscopy procedures (Mandatory skill) with the ability to perform complex diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in colonoscopy (Mandatory skill) for both routine screening and advanced clinical indications.
  • Demonstrated skill in therapeutic endoscopy (Mandatory skill), including polypectomy, dilation, and hemostasis interventions.
  • Ability to provide thorough patient care, delivering compassionate consultation, treatment planning, and follow-up management.
  • Hands-on experience in ERCP for both diagnostic and interventional procedures in biliary and pancreatic disorders.
  • Knowledge of GI motility testing techniques to accurately assess and manage functional digestive disorders.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic imaging for the gastrointestinal tract, leveraging imaging studies to guide clinical decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct outpatient and inpatient consultations for a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP.
  • Interpret and evaluate diagnostic imaging and motility testing relevant to gastroenterological practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans for complex cases.
  • Ensure fully documented and compliant patient records for medical, legal, and quality assurance purposes.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement, clinical meetings, and training activities within the hospital.
  • Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Contribute to the hospitals mission by maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and ethical conduct.
