Responsibilities
- Conduct surgical procedures related to the gastrointestinal tract including esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.
- Diagnose and treat various gastrointestinal diseases and conditions.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop treatment plans for patients.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative care for patients.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in surgical techniques and gastroenterology treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding surgical options and recovery.
Skills and Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
- Postgraduate degree in General Surgery (MS) or equivalent.
- Specialization in Surgical Gastroenterology (MCh or DNB) is preferred.
- Strong surgical skills and proficiency in minimally invasive techniques.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Knowledge of current trends and advancements in gastroenterology and surgical practices.
