Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day OR operations for assigned specialties: case scheduling, room allocation, turnover coordination and resource planning.
- Coordinate clinical teams (surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, pre/post-op) to ensure on-time starts, minimize delays and streamline patient flow.
- Administer surgical scheduling software and EMR workflows to validate case documentation, consents and perioperative resource needs.
- Oversee OR inventory, surgical instrument trays and sterilization workflows; liaise with vendors to maintain supply reliability and cost controls.
- Track and report operational KPIs (on-time starts, turnover time, cancellations); lead root-cause analysis and implement process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety standards and accreditation requirements; support audits and staff competency trainings.
