Description
We are seeking experienced Surgery Coders to join our US Medical Healthcare team in India. The ideal candidates will have 1-6 years of experience in surgical coding and will be responsible for accurately coding surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with coding standards, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze surgical documentation to assign appropriate codes for procedures performed.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies.
- Maintain knowledge of updates in coding regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in audits and quality assurance processes for coding accuracy.
- Provide training and support to junior coders as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
