Job Purpose/ Summary
The Tool Room Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds used in manufacturing and production processes. This role involves the design, development, repair, and preventive maintenance of tooling equipment to ensure high-quality output and minimal downtime. The engineer collaborates with production, design, and quality teams to support new product development, improve tool performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Job Description
As an Engineer in the Toolroom department of our Pipe Plant in Jhagadia, you will be responsible for supporting the team in various technical tasks. You will be involved in the planning, designing, and execution of tooling and other related activities. You will be expected to apply your knowledge of engineering principles and practices to solve complex problems and improve our processes.
Principal Accountabilities
Design and develop tools jigs fixtures dies and molds based on specific product and process requirements ensuring precision and qualitybr Collaborate effectively with product design and manufacturing teams to create innovative tooling solutions that meet production needsbr Conduct both preventive and corrective maintenance of tools to minimize production downtime and maintain operational efficiencybr Repair worn or damaged tools promptly to restore their functionality and accuracy ensuring minimal disruption to production schedulesbr Work closely with production quality RD and maintenance teams to support tool trials new product launches and problemsolving activitiesbr Operate and supervise CNC machines lathes milling grinding and EDM machines for precise tool fabrication ensuring adherence to machining best practicesbr Maintain an organized inventory of tools spare parts and consumables ensuring availability and readiness for production demandsbr Keep detailed records of tool drawings modifications maintenance logs and calibration data to support continuous improvement and compliancebr Ensure all tooling operations comply with workplace safety and environmental regulations promoting a culture of safety and responsibilitybr Promote and follow best practices in the safe handling and storage of tools and materials fostering a safe and efficient work environment
