Job Description
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for people, property, and assets. This role involves monitoring premises, controlling access, responding to incidents, and enforcing security policies to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security risks.
Principal Accountabilities
Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security maintaining a visible presence to deter potential threatsbr Monitor surveillance cameras alarms and access control systems to detect and respond to unauthorized activities or security breachesbr Control entry and exit of employees visitors and vehicles ensuring compliance with security protocols and maintaining accurate recordsbr Identify investigate and report suspicious activities or security breaches taking appropriate action to mitigate risksbr Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire medical incidents or intrusions coordinating with emergency services as neededbr Enforce company policies rules and regulations ensuring all personnel adhere to established security proceduresbr Write detailed incident and daily activity reports documenting all securityrelated activities and incidents accuratelybr Assist law enforcement or emergency responders when required providing support and information to facilitate their operationsbr Provide customer service and directions to visitors and staff ensuring a welcoming and secure environment for all
