To ensure extrusion production on the corresponding press in Coordination with relevant supporting entities for smooth operations
Operation of assigned press and allied activities, ensure quality of extruded product,maintain man and machine safety. Taking decisions locally on shop-floor to run the processes smoothly.
- Promote safety in respective shifts. Make sure that self, colleagues & contract labors are wearing PPEs.
- Adhere targeted BBSO & incident reporting in respective shift.
- To implement and ensure production with safe working conditions.
Report incident/accident/injuries in respective shift to shift controller
- To ensure targeted production with good quality material in the respective shift. Make sure that each die extruding with optimum speed.
- To ensure operation of assigned press & allied equipment operations as per standard operating procedure.
- To ensure the quality and recovery as per planning. Calculation of billet length, Extrusion length, Butt end discard etc. Defect identification and on the spot decision on quality of the product. Review with QA / Process as and when required. Use of ascona for sample checking to be ensured for before and after stretching material.
- Trouble shooting of issues under control like flashing, bulging etc.
- Ensure that press stoppage due to operational reason as minimal. Take proactive action against operational delays.
- Ensure that there will not be any operational delay during shift handover time.
- Make sure of Vertical log storage utilization.
