Support PPC is the role responsible for developing production plans, monitoring execution, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements and improve operational efficiency.
Job Description
The Deputy Manager – Production Planning & Control (PPC. will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities for the Stainless Steel Pipes manufacturing unit. The role involves ensuring optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and production capacity while meeting customer delivery schedules, quality requirements, and inventory targets.
The position will coordinate closely with Production, Sales, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth production flow, timely availability of materials, effective capacity planning, and adherence to the production plan. The role will also monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
Responsibility
Develop and implement daily weekly and monthly production plans based on customer orders dispatch schedules available capacity and material availabilitybrPrepare production schedules for Stainless Steel Pipe manufacturing processes and ensure timely execution as per planbrCoordinate with Production Sales Purchase Stores Quality Maintenance and Dispatch teams for smooth production operationsbrMonitor production progress against the planned schedule and take corrective actions to minimize delays and production gapsbrEnsure optimum utilization of machines manpower raw materials and production capacitybrPlan raw material requirements including stainless steel coils sheets tubes consumables and other production inputsbrMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with Purchase and Stores to ensure timely availability of materials without excess inventorybrAnalyze production capacity machine loading bottlenecks and lead times to improve overall plant utilizationbrPrepare and maintain PPC reports MIS production plans pending order reports inventory reports and dispatch schedulesbrTrack order status from planning through production and coordinate with concerned departments to meet customer delivery commitmentsbrMonitor WorkinProgress WIP and ensure proper movement of material between different manufacturing and finishing processesbrCoordinate production planning for different grades sizes specifications and customer requirements of Stainless Steel PipesbrEnsure effective production sequencing to minimize changeover time material losses and machine idle timebrIdentify planning constraints and production bottlenecks and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actionsbrMonitor adherence to production plans and analyze variances between planned and actual productionbrSupport continuous improvement initiatives for productivity inventory optimization leadtime reduction and cost controlbrEnsure proper documentation and traceability of production planning and material movement as per company proceduresbrProvide regular updates to management on production status capacity utilization material availability order fulfillment and critical delaysbrSupport implementation of ERPMRP systems and ensure accuracy of production inventory and planning databrEnsure compliance with company policies safety requirements quality standards and applicable procedures within PPC activities
