Job Description
The Senior Engineer – Mechanical Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of mechanical equipment in the seamless tubes manufacturing plant. The role involves planning and executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities, minimizing equipment downtime, improving asset reliability, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting production targets.
Principal Accountabilities
Plan supervise and execute preventive predictive and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment to ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize production losses due to mechanical failuresbrMonitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencybrCoordinate shutdown maintenance activities and major overhauls to ensure minimal disruption to production schedulesbrMaintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems associated with critical plant equipment including Rotary Hearth Furnace Billet handling systems and various mills and finishing equipmentbrConduct root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures and implement condition monitoring techniques such as vibration analysis and thermographybrDrive Total Productive Maintenance TPM Kaizen and reliabilitycentered maintenance initiatives to foster continuous improvementbrDevelop maintenance schedules and manage critical spares inventory to optimize maintenance costs and ensure timely execution of maintenance activitiesbrEnsure adherence to plant safety standards and statutory requirements conducting safety inspections and promoting safe work practicesbrLead and guide technicians supervisors and contract workforce providing technical training and skill development to meet maintenance objectivesbrCoordinate with production quality utility and project departments to align maintenance activities with overall plant goals
