Job Description
The Assistant Engineer in the Support - DRI - Process - Steel role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI. process. This position involves supporting DRI process operations by maintaining operational discipline and optimizing resource usage. The Assistant Engineer will adhere to safety and environmental standards while supporting continuous improvement activities to enhance plant performance. The role requires timely reporting, compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs., and effective coordination with maintenance and control room teams to ensure uninterrupted DRI operations. The Assistant Engineer will also be involved in process automation and improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and productivity. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to achieving operational excellence.
Principal Accountabilities
Manage overall shift operations to ensure seamless production processesbr Plan shifts according to the production schedule to meet output targetsbr Ensure the achievement of targeted output during each shiftbr Manage manpower effectively and ensure raw material planning for smooth operationsbr Support process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiencybr Coordinate with maintenance and control room teams to prevent operational disruptionsbr Adhere to safety and environmental standards to maintain compliance and operational integrity
