The purpose of the role is to effectively manage the Electrical Systems operations of the Power Plant, in a safe manner, controlling energy, raw material and other operational losses.

3) Job Context & Major Challenges:

Job Context:

Captive thermal Power Plant supports the production of Aluminum at the units of Hindalco Industries Limited. The purpose of the role is to effectively manage the Electrical Systems operations of the Power Plant, in a safe manner, controlling energy, raw material and other operational losses. It also includes coordination with maintenance team to inform regarding any abnormality on site and get it attended by lodging the trouble on EKAYAAN. It also involves safe isolation of equipment for maintenance job and after maintenance normalization of equipment.

Job Challenges :

.Control all types of operational losses and contribute to controlling of utilization of natural resources such as raw materials, electricity, air, fuel, oil, water etc.

.Effectively transition to other shifts and provide shift reporting / E-Reporting / production MIS at the end of the shift, including making entry in the log book

A) Safety Indices

i) Ensure Safe Working during routine and emergency situation (viz-a-viz use of PPEs and following of procedure)

ii) Ensure 100% PTW/LOTOTO compliance

iii) Ensure PEP talk at the beginning of all critical equipment isolation/hand over.

iv) 'ZERO violation of safety standard and ensure adherence to safety compliances.

B) Safety Training

i) 3 days training

C) Safety Reporting

i) BBSO - 4 scheduled+2 non-scheduled BBSO Reporting per month

ii) Near Miss/ PI - At least 2 NM/PI reporting per month

Sustainability

Check and inspect equipment/process parameters to report and get attended abnormalities pertaining to:

i) Leakages and loss of Water, oil, air

ii) Ensure unauthorised entry in Switch Gear and other Hi energy Zone.

iii) Ensure testing of Emergency Equipment's in the work area (such as DG set, DC lighting, Transformer emulsifier, and other emergency equipment's) and to maintain its record / check sheet.

iv) Ensure 100% VIS in electrical area.

v) Ensure 100% availability of cooling system (FCU/AHU) for electrical system.

v) Ensure 100% availability of cooling system (FCU/AHU) for electrical system.

Customer

Centricity i) Ensure zero tripping due to human error

ii) Ensure adherence to SOP for Unit revival and thus contribute in timely revival of Unit and bring Unit revival time to 35 mins.

Iii) Ensure no delay due to electrical operation (normalization/isolation) without violation of safety standard.

Cash

1. Ensure timely reporting and get the Oil Leakages attended so as to reduce Oil Consumption.-100%

2. Review Oil consumption of all equipment and report/rectify deviation

Cost

i) Monitor and review Operational parameters

ii) Ensure optimize cooling fan of Transformers

iii) Ensure running of energy efficient equipment.

iv) Ensure adherence to equipment changeover schedules.

v) Ensure timely reporting of Plant Reports.

i) Conduct WCM Small Group Meetings as per schedule, timely submitting of BCE report

ii) Deliver relevant One Point Lessons so as to improve competency of employees working on shop floor

iii) Encourage shop floor employees to report quality Kaizen's and help in implementation of the same by preparing MOC and taking up with Maintenance team

iv) Improve Ownership by displaying concrete efforts under Apni Zimmedari movement.
